GAN249 V2 2×2 — lightweight speed cube for enthusiasts and advanced solvers

GAN249 V2 is a 2×2 speed cube with a 49 mm size and a weight of only about 52 g. It is a very light and fast cube with GAN’s signature honeycomb surface on the internal pieces, which provides smooth turning and helps the lubricant last longer.

The stickerless body with bright colours makes the faces easy to distinguish even during fast solves.

Turning feel

The turning is very light and fast — the cube almost disappears in your hand because of its low weight.

The feel is rather soft and “airy”, without heaviness or strong inertia.

Thanks to the honeycomb surface, the turning becomes more even and consistent, and the cube glides well even with a small amount of lubricant.

For complete beginners the speed may feel a bit “sharp” at first, but you get used to it quickly.

Magnets and mechanism

There are no magnets — this is a non-magnetic 2×2 version.

Inside, it uses GAN’s proprietary IPG core, which provides more precise geometry and better stability when adjusting the tensions.

The honeycomb internal surface (Honeycomb Touchface) helps distribute the lubricant evenly and makes the turning smoother.

There is protection against corner twist and anti-pop, so the pieces almost never pop out during normal solving.
