GAN Smart Timer – Silver Knight is a smart timer for speedcubing practice with Bluetooth support and the Cube Station app. It’s made for those who don’t just want to measure time, but also systematically analyze their solves, track statistics, and train in a format as close as possible to official competitions.

Important: this timer cannot be used at official WCA competitions — it is intended only for training at home, in clubs, or at unofficial events.

What this timer can do

Bluetooth + Cube Station app
The timer connects to the Cube Station app on iOS/Android: results are automatically saved to your profile, available from different devices, and you can track your progress and build training graphs.

High measuring accuracy
The stated accuracy is up to 0.001 seconds, which is more than enough even for advanced speedcubers.

Protection against false triggers
After stopping the time, all buttons on the timer “freeze” for about 1 second. This protects against accidental resets and double presses if you touch the body of the timer at the moment of finishing.

Ao5 average recording
The timer can calculate averages of 5 solves (Ao5), which is convenient for basic statistics directly on the device — even without connecting to a phone.

Compatibility with GAN smart cubes
It fully shines in combination with GAN smart cubes: data about solves, turns, and mistakes goes into one app and helps you better understand your strengths and weaknesses.

2.5 mm port for connection
There is a 2.5 mm AUX output — if needed, you can connect the timer to an external display or another compatible system.

Well-thought-out buttons and body
Large, “dense” clicks, stable position on the table, and an ergonomic, elongated body shape. The timer is designed for frequent use and intensive practice.

Silver Knight version
The Silver Knight color scheme is a light, silver-gray design with neat contrasting details. This neutral, clean look pairs well with both mats and any cubes. There are other colors in the lineup, but this model comes specifically in the Silver Knight version.

A small M2/M3 standard screwdriver is required to access the battery compartment.

Important note about competitions

Under current WCA regulations, only Speed Stacks Stackmat timers of approved generations (for example, Gen 4/Gen 5) are used at official competitions. GAN Smart Timer is not on the list of approved devices and cannot be used as the main competition timer. It is ideal precisely for training, home and club events, or unofficial competitions where the rules allow alternative equipment.
