SpeedStacks G5 Pro Timer — official WCA/WSSA timer with 0.001 s accuracy and dual modes for cubing and sport stacking

The SpeedStacks G5 Pro Timer is the latest generation StackMat timer, endorsed by both the World Sport Stacking Association (WSSA) and the World Cube Association (WCA). It measures solves with an accuracy of 0.001 seconds and offers two operation modes: 4-Pad for stacking and 2-Pad for speedcubing, which you can toggle by holding the RESET button for about five seconds.

The patented four-pad activation system in 4-Pad mode greatly reduces false starts by ensuring your hands are properly placed before the timer begins. In 2-Pad mode, you get the familiar “two-hand on the pads” start that cubers know from official WCA competitions. A data port on the underside allows you to connect a Tournament Display while keeping the cable out of the way and preventing accidental unplugging.

Compared to previous generations, the G5 has a more compact shape while remaining comfortable to hold and use on any desk or competition table. The POWER and RESET buttons feature a reinforced design and a built-in hold delay (about 0.5 s), so accidental bumps won’t switch off the timer or wipe your solve.

The timer attaches to the StackMat G5 via a revised snap-mount system, which locks it firmly to the mat so it doesn’t pop off during fast solves. Two AAA batteries are included in the box. Note that the G5 Pro Timer is not compatible with older Gen3/Gen4 mats.
