GAN No.1 Lube is a silicone-based, medium-viscosity lubricant designed for speedcubes. It reduces friction between contact surfaces, makes turning smoother and more controllable, and helps keep the cube feeling consistent over time. The lube typically comes in a 10 ml bottle with a fine nozzle, so a small amount goes a long way.

Composition

• Silicone-based lubricant (medium viscosity), safe for plastic parts and commonly used in speedcubes.

Usage

• Suitable for all plastic puzzles: 2×2–7×7 cubes, megaminx, pyraminx, skewb, SQ-1, and non-standard mods.
• Best for cubers who want more smoothness and control rather than maximum speed.
• Can be used on its own or combined with a thinner, faster lube for fine-tuning the feel.

How to use

1. Apply 1 small drop to internal contact surfaces (edges/corners).
2. Turn and scramble the puzzle 20–40 times so the lubricant spreads evenly.
3. Add another tiny drop only if needed.

Possible drawbacks

• May feel slower than very thin/fast lubes, especially on already fast cubes.
• Too much lubricant can make the cube feel heavy or “gummy” and reduce crispness.
• Over time it can attract dust, so occasional cleaning is recommended.
